The “Blue of Jodhpur” collection will undoubtedly remain the technical feat of the different opuses presented during this Paris Fashion Week.

This year, the House of 26 Place Vendôme takes us to India, to meet fabulous palaces, richly adorned Maharadjas and, more broadly, a sometimes forgotten Indian history… The links between this country and Boucheron are particularly important, and it is under the high patronage of His Highness Gajsingh II Maharaja of Marwar – Jodhpur that this new collection was initiated by Artistic Director Claire Choisne, and then manufactured by the House’s craftsmen.

Through four chapters, India and especially Rajasthan are poetically celebrated in the 60 pieces of this new set: Jodhpur, Indian Palace, Garden and Cosmos and Maharani.
The pieces, like those previously unveiled at the Biennale des Antiquaires, feature rare materials and the skills of the company’s craftsmen. More particularly, the art of lapidary, through the use of rock crystal and Makrana marble (which was used to build the Taj Mahal). And let’s not forget the sand from the Thar desert, which is trapped in one of the most fabulous pieces of the collection: the Nagaur necklace.
