De Beers and its sour diamonds

Jul 13, 2017

De Beers presented its new models during the Haute Couture week. It was an opportunity for us to discover some very beautiful diamonds but above all a high jewellery range mixing cut diamonds and rough, white and coloured diamonds. I will remember, among others, the surprising blue-green rough diamond of 18.79 cts set in the centre of a white gold and diamond necklace. I note that the houses are no longer afraid to propose sets with such atypical stones. This also means that customers are increasingly open to this type of creative proposal. I’m very happy about that!

The team also exhibited some particularly impressive rough diamonds:

  • An octahedral yellow diamond of 296 carats
  • A 117-carat rough brown diamond
  • And a 58 carat rough white diamond

A gourmet and joyful presentation that will have delighted the diamond specialists. De Beers has been showcasing some amazing stones for a few years now. I am already curious about the future creative choices! So I propose you to discover the visuals of the pieces I liked best during this little moment in the brand’s offices.
