For almost twenty years, Victoire de Castellane has been unfolding her universe by designing jewellery for Dior that is like no other. With her play on ribbons and fabrics, her bold mix of colours, materials and textures, she has explored with talent the way to transpose couture into jewellery. This new collection does not fail in its primary sources of inspiration and it is an opus piqued with great virtuosity that we were able to discover a few days ago at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.

“I wanted to rediscover the sensation of airy lightness and the haute couture signature of lace, which, like ribbon, silk and drapery, belongs to the Dior alphabet”
Victoire de Castellane
Lace in jewellery? Several jewellery houses have tried this, but none, in my opinion, has been able to give the excessive refinement that the jewellery workshops that produced the forty-five new pieces in the “Dior Dior Dior” collection have managed to reproduce. Miniature flowers, delicate settings, metal openworked to the maximum of what is reasonably possible, a play of textures between matt and polished gold and above all these small alveoli which – everywhere – punctuate the pieces giving the impression that one is admiring the finest of embroidery. From those that adorn these priceless dresses to the hundreds or even thousands of hours of work that went into them a few days before the unveiling of this new and remarkable collection… The work done on the pieces is marvellous and one can easily imagine the complexity of the manufacturing behind these jewels.

As for the stones, the house’s selection is as sharp as ever. With their frank and perfectly saturated colours, the gems – rubies, spessartite garnets, emeralds, sapphires and tourmalines – illuminate the various creations. Gourmet and refined jewellery that lovers and collectors of the house will appreciate. In fact, almost all the pieces have been sold. Proof that the unique creative choices of the house, as of all those who dare to propose pieces of character, are still and always a guarantee of success in a universe that never ceases to dazzle us!
