Last week, on the 7th of January 2015, France experienced first hand the assassination of the editorial staff of Charlie Hebdo. Like all French people, this news deeply upset and shocked us.
The students of the Ecole Boulle in Paris decided to use the hashatg #JeSuisBoulleVersé to commemorate the memory of the journalists killed that day. Hashtag, of course, accompanied by the one that went around the world: #JeSuisCharlie.
In addition, the jewellery students in the school’s BMA1 section decided, in collaboration with their teachers, to work on a jewellery project in tribute to the victims of this terrorist attack. After a group work and a democratic vote, the model of a Crayon “Je Suis Charlie ” ring was chosen.

Ironically, the students chose to use the “Call of Duty” font on this piece. The 3D file can be freely downloaded from the Thingiverse platform . It is then possible to have a print made in any fablab such as the one at “L’atelier numérique”.
I thought it was very important to relay this very beautiful and touching initiative of the school. Thanks to them!

See you soon.
